Merry Christmas '09

Hey peep! It's been a while since the last update about Toby. Toby still doing great, his naughty bar skill is growing perfectly, and few times ended up with "steam rotan with meats" (tan tiew mun chu yuk - cantonese)!

On the day before Christmas eve, we have a Christmas gift exchanged, session, where both of us bought a little christmas gift for Toby with the terms that the gift shouldn't be price more than RM 10.00 each. Nowadays, it's really hard to get a gift that is below 10 bucks, as we are having difficulties on finding at it at the first attempt. But the processing part was fun, a new experience gained.

6th Month Dog Day

It was his 6th month Dog day, and it totally slipped off from our mind. Luckily it went thru baby's mind in a glance, and realizing it was Toby's Dog day. Baby sms-ed me, and we both were kelam kabut for a while. Well, things happens, that's why our attention is directed off. But seriously, both of us was not really in a good or happy mood and few days before, baby's car windscreen were smashed, but luckily. we did not lost anything. So on Toby's dog day, we didn't have much things plan, and we just treat him vanilla ice-cream mixed with his fish-fish biscuit, and well, Toby's love it!

Lately there were not much post or updates from Toby, due to our work's schedule and routine changes. Anyhow...we were glad that Toby's ear infection were totally recover at last, and a new chapter begins...Skin problem...and this chapter, I believe, will be a long lasting one. Might due to the raining season nowadays, there were yis and bacteria underneath his skin. And again, we have to bring Toby to consult the vet. Bought some anti septic spray, and that didn't really work well..and the bacteria has spread to his upper body, which previously it was on his leggy. Vet told us to call for consult before bringing Toby over, as the vet knows we have spend too much, where there were times the vet have to pity us, giving us free medicine and consultation. So for this skin chapter, the vet told us that it is a normal condition, where big dogs will infected with the yis issue, speacially during the raining season. The only we can do is, bath Toby twice a week, and used the anti-yis shampoo once a month. FYI, the anti-yis shampoo, was terribly expensive, costing 50 bucks, for a small bottle. I guess with Toby size, it can only last for 3 bath...max 4 times.

We had extremely tight budget for this coming few months as CNY was going to arrived soon and as usual, there were alot of preparation that involves money. We even need to reduce the pocket money that we allocate for him, so that we are able to meet the budget and savings. Just pray hard, the skin problem chapter won't go in any deeper or serious. As for others, Toby were doing great, extremly naughty, and fat. He doesn't fond about his kibbles as before, and this has getting us to worry. This might due to we have randomly giving him rice with meat, which he prefers more. But still, we have to force him to eat his kibbles, as it is more healthy to him.

Was planning for a road trip with Toby, but still haven't decide where to head on. As we planned, the trip will mostly be on next year March, whereby after the CNY. There were few places we are still search on that Toby will be able to accomodate, and what we have is Ruby Resort, which I guess everyone know about it, and another one is in Penang. If any friends do have a place to share with that can bring our furkids along, hope can share it with us. Thanks in advance!

5th Month

Another month has passed, and marks Toby 5th month dog day! Here's our burfday doggy boy...

Blueberry Cupcake!

Part from that, we bought australian lamb shoulder for him and cooked it with rice as for his burfday dinner. Toby loves it so much! No piccies because we totally forgotten about it where we had spend nearly 2 hours to prepare the dinner for him.

As for the pool party, we had canceled it because his ear's infection. Uncle Lai (the vet) advise us not to play water with him to prevent the infection getting more serious. Toby were pretty upset as we have promised him earlier about the pool party. Hope by next week he will be able to fully recover.

We are looking for boarding place for Toby as we will be away for few days...If any friends know any good boarding place, please do share with us...

1U Park

We were at the 1U park on last Sunday. Seems like Toby were feeling emo, due to the teeth gums pain as his teeth were fallen 1 by 1...and the blood...yucks!...whole mouth filled with blood, and most of his soft toys need to send to wash..we hope, Toby will feel better playing in the park as there were other furkids around too..get to know more friends maa!

There were other furkids...and most amazing is, there were couples were bringing chow chow and husky...2 chow chow and 2 huskies...they were so good looking. We saw another GR, where the owner were busy taking pic of the GR...and lots of Shih Tzu owner too..Too bad we didn't take much pic, as were busy with Toby..really needs lots of energy to entertain him.

Though we were tired out, but we do really have fun at the park..running around with him. And of course, there will be more visits to the park with Toby. The next agenda we are looking forward to is the pool activity, as we are planning to buy a big pool for Toby and have a pool party with him!

1st time at the beach

Saturday trip was fun, but it started off kinda not so good way. The plan was, we wanna visit Fluff before heading to PD, but mana tau....Fluff re-opening was post-poned. :(

Without delaying, we flew to PD...

Along the way, we guess Toby feels emo...

After an hour of driving, we finally reached. We were hungry, so we stop by at KFC and bought some food for tea break. As usual, Toby got this 2pc chicken original set. He is getting fatter nowadays, and all of his cloths can't fit in any more...Left this Manchester United outfit and another blue one when we bought for him during his puppy time. But still, Dr.Lai say we need to pump in more food for Toby as he is not big and fat enough.

At the beach,

Toby were scared of the sea water at first, feels reluctant to walk around or near to the water. But after some warm up sessions, where we slowly bring him nearer and nearer to the sea, he don't resist to go near the sea by himself. He even run, wet himself, digging the sand!

After the play on the beach, we were really getting hungry. We took a break, and enjoy our little picnic by the beach...and of course, we have to take turn to eat our food because Toby is always out of control whenever he saw food. At the same time, we were afraid to off leash him, worrying he will running like a crazy dog.

The day is getting late, and since Toby were so wet and covered with sand, we decided to drove back to KL and bath him by ourself. Without delay, we packed our stuff, and clean him up so that he won't catch cold in the car. It took us almost half an hour to dry him up with the towel but still, his body is full with sand. Along the journey home, Toby sleep throughout the journey home..he doze off right after 5 minutes when we started to head home...

We quickly bath him when we reach home. Toby were so tired after playing the whole day. Whole night he was just lying on the floor, without touching his toys at all. We were so worry that he might now feeling well or catch a cold during the play time at the beach. Woke up this morning, and he is back to active mood....so guess he is doing okay. It was fun bringing him to the beach, and hope the next trip, we can swim with him at the beach! Pray hard..that his ear's infection will recover soon!
